Guided Meditation Transcript

We’ll start by paying attention to your breathing…and if you are in the process of your morning routine, that’s great, keep going, you’re beautiful, and so just go to your breathing, notice your breathing... 

… and I wonder what you might be noticing as you notice your breathing…. Maybe the feel of air flowing into your lungs on an inhale…. Or maybe you are noticing the feeling of air rushing out of your body on the exhale…. 

Or maybe you notice instead, that moment, the little moment when an inhale becomes an exhale… 

You could be noticing the natural rhythm of your breathing…. And there is nothing you need to do but notice your breathing… you can allow your breaths to be longer (or shorter), to come one right after the other, or... to allow for a nice.. long.. pauses.. between breaths… whatever is most natural and comfortable for you in this moment… just accepting your breathing as it is … 

And how incredible, that this simple act of pulling air into our bodies, and then releasing it again has such life giving and beneficial results… such a simple act and yet so great the results… 

And it’s even okay if we forget to notice our breathing… it will continue automatically… breathing in and out… there is something inside us that just knows how to breathe and when to breathe and we don’t need to pay attention to it… 

There are some things that do respond surprisingly well when given healthy attention…. For instance ...I’d like you to think about your favourite facial feature, just think of one part of you that you believe to be beautiful… maybe it’s your lips or your eyes, maybe your lashes or your cheeks…and if you can’t decide on a favourite feature, you can just choose one for today, and bring it to mind… you may be looking at it right now, or you may just imagine in your mind, focusing on that lovely feature and I’d like you to send some love to that part of you that you know is so beautiful… conjure up within you some love and appreciation for that beautiful feature and just send that love and appreciation to that part of you… 

You could do this in various ways… you might just decide it is happening and so it happens, or you might imagine you could see love and appreciation flowing in? If you could see love and appreciation flowing into you, what would that look like? or you may feel it, maybe your love and appreciation is warm and comfortable... or perhaps your love and appreciation is vibrant and energizing…

And you might now send a message of love and appreciation to that feature.


And consider other parts of you, parts that you could send love to, and of course you know that all parts of you deserve love, but it can be especially helpful to draw attention to them specifically.

And consider, as well, the beauty that comes from within you, a character or personality trait...(my sense of humour, how making people laugh is so pleasing to me) or my empathy (that part of me that takes joy in other people’s joy) 


There are so many parts of you, aspects of yourself, inside and out, that deserve love and gratitude, send that love and gratitude into you now, appreciation and admiration for the lovely energy you bring to the world… your light, your essence, your being, your soul, whatever you might want to call it, however you want to think about it, just sending love and gratitude in abundance to your entire self... and as you feel the love and gratitude building within you you notice that your radiant beauty and your energy seem to increase, the level raises up, you are uplifted and buoyed by your renewed love and appreciation for yourself...inside and out… 

And Consider how nice it would be if you felt like this all the time… I am imagining all the beneficial outcomes of purposefully feeling so vibrant and beautiful, all the positive changes that would occur in your life as a result of the attention paid to your own beauty, all the positive things already in existence in your life that would be enhanced, increased and improved on because of this focus and appreciation for yourself 

Take some time to think about those things… allow yourself to see, imagine or pretend all of the positive results from the simple act of sending love to yourself… 

you may be imagining… 

what others might notice about you, 

What you say to yourself about your life now… 

How uplifted and energized you appear, how focused you are in your mind and on your goals…

And this may seem like a simple and maybe even silly exercise, and sure, it is pleasant to send yourself love but the positive results are profound in many aspects of your life because your mind is always listening to your thoughts to know what it is important to focus on And so because of that there is a powerful advantage to noticing your beauty, to acknowledging your loveliness, all positive aspects of yourself... 

as you take time to notice and appreciate your beauty, a natural and powerful shift in mindset takes place… 

as you purposefully notice and appreciate your beauty, you feel more beautiful, and you notice your beauty awakening in a new way, a strong, radiant, and resilient inner beauty that shines bright from within you… this beauty is in you and … 

This simple act of appreciating yourself can be as life giving as that simple act of breathing in and breathing out… 

I am going to give some positive and uplifting thoughts, ideas and perspectives... and if you like them, if you want them for yourself: you could think ‘yes’ or even repeat them in your own mind (so if I say “you are vibrant” you could think to yourself “yes, I am vibrant!”. Now, if I say something you like, but you don’t actually have it quite yet, you might be interested to know that if you just stay positive and imagine it was true, picturing it or imagining it in your mind that sends a message to your mind that you want this to be true for you and your mind will start doing it’s good work in getting you where you want to be: 

You are in control of how you respond to your life 

You are optimistic and have a positive mindset 

You take time for pleasure 

You are rooted in strength 

You are courageous and brave 

You love deeply 

You are strong, centred and focused 

You are good 

You take care of yourself 

You love and accept yourself 

You are kind to yourself 

You radiate love and compassion

You are strong… 

You choose to fill your mind with positive thoughts 

You take time to connect to yourself and send yourself love 

You can chose to attract positive energy to your mind and body 

you choose to focus on the good, the uplifting, and the inspiring in the world 

And now just because you want them to, all these messages, these ideas take root in your mind, and they support you, they uplift you, and stay with you through your day. And as you continue this practice of connecting to your beauty, reconnecting to yourself, as you practice appreciating yourself and your beauty, inside and out, your actions will carry with them more grace, you will project greater beauty into the world, and knowing all this you become more confident, more uplifted, more focused on the good, and able to deal with the challenging and ready to experience it all.
