about aging matters to move beyond the long-engrained idea that we
should fight aging at all costs.
There’s no denying it, you are aging right now.
Your face will change as you age.
Your beauty routine has room to shift and evolve.
We’re being fed a fantasy that 20-something beauty is the ideal.
If you’re older and trying to follow beauty tutorials from 20-something
influencers littering the internet, it’s likely giving you worse looking
results, and leading to a feeling of defeat or dismay.
There are better ways to enhance and honor our desire for an
authentic beauty - inside and out.
The problem isn’t our wrinkles- It's how disempowered we become as we’re told to fight this natural process.
Don't let them fool you. The truth is the more experienced you are in
life, the more powerful and valuable you are.
For over 25 years, I’ve worked on hundreds of faces, and with
thousands of students across the age spectrum, all over the world, as
a celebrity makeup artist, green beauty expert, and a personal and
brand image specialist.
Throughout my career I’ve mastered the art of working with 40+ faces.
The most common concerns I hear are about wrinkles, dry skin,
hyperpigmentation, sagging, and dark circles.

can do right now to shift your beauty into a better-feeling-looking

BUILDING YOUR BEAUTY BRIDGE
I’d like you to consider the idea that your “Beauty Bridge” is held up by
inner and outer beauty pillars.
If one pillar is less developed than the other, the bridge is out of
balance, weak and possibly dangerous.
The Inner pillar includes what you put in your body, to the beliefs you
hold about yourself.
When you say mean things about yourself, you code those nasty
beliefs into your brain and your cells. That's not powerful, and that’s where strengthening your Inner Pillar comes into play.
Step 1: Notice the negative thoughts that fly into your mind when you
look in the mirror.
Step 2: Be curious about how you feel when you hear yourself say
those things. Are they true? What is underneath the words?
Step 3: Let’s flip the rude inner script, and make a list of what
characteristics you're going to focus on loving about yourself this

Do you have sparkling eyes, a quirky smile, a lovely laugh, an

MAKEUP TRICKS FOR OVER 40 FACES
There ARE different techniques you can use as you age to get great
When it comes to makeup, most of my 40+ clients don’t want to look
like dolls, but they feel better when they “make an effort”, just like
putting on a nice outfit to feel more polished and put together.
Eyebrow Eye Lift:
After using a bit of brow balm to softly fill in any “naked spots”, most
people smooth their brows to the side and slightly downward. But if
you brush upward you’ll give your eyes a really nice lift!
Foundation hack for dry skin:
My "Spa Glow Foundation" method is so simple to give a natural
radiance to drier skin and reduce the appearance of crepey texture.
In the palm of your (clean) hand mix a drop or 2 of your favorite face
oil into a pea size amount of foundation and apply evenly over the
face for a dewy (not greasy) glow.
Get Unstuck from A Rut:
If you're bored, not feeling yourself these days, then it's time to re-
evaluate what you’re using and how.
Experimentation can feel scary, even when it's not permanent.

Instead of making choices based on habit or outer influences of

- What sort of styles speak to you now?
- Is there something new you’ve been secretly wanting to try?
It doesn’t just have to be a bolder lip color - but it could be! Try a different way of parting your hair can to bring out a whole new side, or put on an unexpected piece of jewelry or another accessory that takes you out of your norm.
Sometimes we feel silly trying new things, but I challenge you to try
out one new thing for one whole day and see what it’s really like to be
a little different.
